It really could not have come at a worse time. My mobile phone is such an important tool in my business. As a builder, I need to be contactable 24/7. With no fixed office, my mobile phone allows me to get into contact with suppliers and customers as well as serving as the first point of contact for any new business.
I used my old phone for around three years, mostly on a pay as you go basis. It wasnít really ideal, but I got by. And then around three weeks ago, I dropped it in a wheelbarrow of cement.
I needed a new phone pretty quickly, so I decided to get a contract phone. After three rejections, I was at a loss. Now I understand that some companies look at your credit record, but they need to do so in context. Around three years ago, I took out a loan on my business which I have struggled to pay back. I try my best, but you know how it is. Some months are better than others and during the lean times, I admit I have missed a payment or two. That came back to bite me, didnít it?

I went down to their local offices and spoke to Cindy. She was just so helpful and even brought me a cup of tea! After she explained to me exactly what I need in terms of documentation, she showed me a range of contracts and phones. I didnít want anything too fancy, to be honest. I do most of my work by talking to people, so although email and the like would be nice, it wasnít necessary. Cindy showed me some of the entry level smartphones. They really do have everything today donít they, and maybe email wonít be such a bad idea after all.
The next day, I brought in the relevant documents and Cindy had all the paperwork ready. I quickly signed where I needed to and that afternoon I received a call from her to come and collect my phone. I couldnít believe it. It took only around five hours for approval.
When I got to the office, Cindy had a cup of tea waiting for me. She even remembered that I liked two sugars. She handed me my phone and quickly took me through the basics of operating it. She then even helped me set up an email address (Moore.Builders@gmail.com if you need anything done) and finally, I was given a complimentary micro SD card. Not sure what that is, but if I canít work it out, I will definitely ask Cindy.
I can only highly recommend Poli Phones. Their deals and customer service are second to none!
